No doubt it was him. I feel sure about that because in a deed in TN in 1791 it mentions that he was late of that county. He is on the tax records 1791-1797 in Mason Co, KY. I haven't had time to go over everything I brought home yet. Give me a couple of weeks. E-Mail me at donna@bridesclub.com. Philip didn't go with father to Mason Co, KY. You are welcome to call. 702-737-0544. I have free long distance and will call you right back. I think Philip may have a sister married to Samuel Morrison who lived in Wash Co, PA. Her name was Lydia which is a Stout name. I think Philip has brothers, Samuel, Peter and John. Still searching!! It is a lot of work looking at DEEDS! I really only saw indexes. In most cases no time to see the actual deeds. Hosea may have died in Mason Co, KY or it became a different county. I'm thinking that Hosea came straight f! rom PA to TN abt 1777/1778 and then to KY. I saw his name listed with reference to War at Kings Mountain. It was a WaSH Co book. Taxes in PA need to be looked at. He is mentioned in Sullivan, Washington and Greene Co, deeds. A Philip Stout from PA was listed in the Rev I think 1776. Philip's son Thomas was in the War of 1812 from OHIO and pensioned. Peter/Philip was also in that war. He was (index) referred to by both names at the National Archives. (I was there last week in CA) Everyone is hot to find Hosea's family.
