    3. William White [Jr.] born Jan 10, 1755 in what he called Fauquier Co VA [actually was still Prince William Co VA until 1759]. He enlisted in Rev War from Fauquier Co VA. [ S 1735 VA]. In his pension application, he referred to his brother, John, whom he stopped by Alexandria, VA to see on his way home from his own first tour in the RW. He found John too ill to continue and took his place to allow him to go home and get well. John caught up with his company on a march to Williamsburg a few years later and resumed his own tour. No other family was mentioned in this application. William did say that after the Rev War [ I found him in deeds, etc in Fauquier Co VA until 1795] he relocated to Rowan Co NC and lived there for 30 years. [I found a deed from Isaac White of Wilkes Co NC selling William 105 acres on Reedy Creek in what is Davie Co NC today. It became Stokes Co when his children were born in NC. There was no mention of a relationship between Isaac and William White]. William White and several of his Stokes [Rowan Co] NC neighbors appear for the first time on 1820 census of Lincoln Co TN. William applied for his RW pension from there in 1832 and died there May 6, 1833. Mrs. Dietrich of College Park, Maryland was accepted in D.A.R. in late 1970's on Hannah White [ daughter of William White Sr and his first wife] who married Thomas Russell James. She said William White's first wife was named Mary ___??? William White married widow of James Bailey who died in 1777 in Fauquier Co VA. They were both older by then and had no children together but she is listed in his will. William White Sr and wife Mary __? children. All married in Fauq. Co VA.: 1. Jemima/Mima White married Jan 10, 1791 George Greene Waddell 2. John White [Rev War soldier] b July 15, 1754 married his step sister, Ann [ Nancy?] Bailey, daughter of deceased James Bailey and wife Ann [Nancy?] above mentioned. 3. Elizabeth White married James Bailey 4. William White [Jr.] born Jan 10, 1755 md 1st ?, married 2nd Elizabeth ___ in NC [ my direct line] Rev War soldier. William did not go to Mason Co KY. 5. Nancy "Ann" White b 1764, md Oct 31, 1786 William Waddell [Sr.] 6. Hannah White born ca 1765, md Thomas Russell James Dec 13, 1787 7. Sarah White b ca 1768, md Aug 25, 1789 George Roach. [They lived out their marriage in Prince William Co VA. George was Adm of his father in law's estate until his own death in 1824. They did not go to Mason Co KY. 8. Carr White b ca 1773, md Feb 19, 1795 with authorization from his own father as he was under age. He married Nancy Donaldson, dau. of John. I am not sure if he went to Mason Co KY or not?? All of the other children except Sarah and William and possibly Carr removed to Mason Co KY by 1790. They all signed legal authorizations sent back to George Roach to allow George to sell William White's estate to be divided among his children. The Judge in Fauquier Co VA forced the widow Ann [Bailey] White to probate the will in 1804. William White died in 1797 at Haymarket, Prince William Co VA. The will was still being contested in 1824 when George Roach died and one of Ann Bailey White's sons, Carr Bailey took over the adm. of the will. The problem was William White [Jr] was added separately in the will from the other children and only awarded [one dollar] and never no more, nor to his heirs. William White Sr's neighbors said he had no problem with his son William White Jr and they did not believe he would cut him out of his share of his estate. There was talk that Ann [Bailey] White's son, Thomas Bailey, actually wrote the will. John White, son of William White Sr ,was on the Bailey children's side as he married a daughter of James and Ann Bailey and he would be entitled to two shares. William White Sr. was one of 77 men who signed under Capt. William Edmonds Virginia Troops and was listed on the roster in 1761 of the French & Indian War. Carr Bailey [Sr,] who was known as a famous Indian fighter ,was on that list. William White named his last son, Carr White. Two of William's daughters married sons of Carr Bailey Sr. William White Jr fought in Rev War with Carr Bailey Jr and named a son, Carr Bailey White. There are still members of my family using the name Bailey for first or middle name today. I have seen deed information in Mason Co records about the Bailey and Waddell children of my family but nothing about my White family except MAYBE??? John White, age 78, living in HH of Caleb White in 1841 census of Rev War soldiers still living. They were living in northern portion of Mason Co KY in 1841. I am not positive this is my John White as he was still heavy in the will dispute in Fauquier Co VA all those years. I doubt it was him in KY. William White Sr. married first Mary ___ and I would love to know her surname and place they married. I suspect Lancaster Co VA?? Many of Williams neighbors of in Prince William Co also are listed in records of Lancaster Co. VA. William White [Jr.] surely had a first marriage and children in Fauquier Co VA. She probably went with him to Rowan/Stokes Co NC and died there BEFORE 1814.. Too many William White's with no wife or children's names to locate this family. William White [Jr.] married 2nd Elizabeth ___ born 1775 NC. She was 20 years younger than William and he was aged 58 when their first child together was born 1814 Stokes Co NC. If I could find the first wife and children, what a glorious day that would be after all these years. William White Jr. named his last son, William Clark White. In Frederick Co VA, living on Smith Creek were William Clark and William White, side by side in early 1700's. ?? Enough and more than any of you wanted to learn. This is in reply to Anita Hill Courtney but I do not have her personal E Mail address. .·:*¨¨*:·.~* Ginny *~.·:*¨¨*:·.
