Hmmm... that's interesting. I do see a Wm. Campbell in Mason co. on the 1840. But his (and his wife's) age is listed in the 50-60 column. They have one boy 10-15, girl 5-10, and another girl 15-20. The next line is the Charles S. Brown family. There are a total of 26 William Campbell families in KY in 1840. Two of them are in Nicholas co., one in Fleming and one in Lewis counties - and, of course, the one in Mason county.
