The death record might possibly be in Robertson County since part of Mason was taken when Robertson County was formed. My Great Great Grandmother was Nancy Dotson and most of the information I found on her family was from Robertson County. They live near Sardis in Robertson. Check at Mt. Olivet. Don Lee

I think you're right, Don. Looking for Dotsons in Lewis County is barking up the wrong tree. Robertson and Nicholas, and, to a lesser extent, Fleming County, could be more rewarding.
