Families from VA;s northern neck migrated to Mason Co. KY until some of the Ohio (Indian) Territory opened up during the early part of the 1800's. As territories became less hostile, people moved into the Northwest Territory. There were VA military lands in Clinton and Green Cos. OH--even some as far west as the eastern parts of Clark and Champaign Cos. I have not studied the Military lands. Others may know a lot more than I do. I just know where I've come across them.
