    3. It's MADISON County, KY., not Madson. The County Seat is Richmond. Daniel Boone established Fort Boonesborough in Madison County about 1774, on a bluff overlooking the Kentucky River (it's arguably, KY's earliest white settlement). Madison Co is just southeast of Lexington, KY. Chillicothe, Ross Co, OH is about 135 miles northeast of Madison County, KY. It's situated on the Scioto River south of Columbus. I lived in Madison Co, KY for seven plus years, and my wife and I were wed there, but we now live in Scioto Co, OH where the Scioto River flows into the Ohio River across from Greenup Co, KY. --- "gc-gateway@rootsweb.com" <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to > this mailing list. > > Surnames: MURPHY, SUMPTER > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.mason/4436/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > Hello > Looking for anyone research the following: > > 1.
