Hi List, I just wanted to say 'Thank-you' to all of you who have responded on the list and off the list to my earlier query about Samuel and Nancy Ann(Watson) STRODE. We know they had several children, we have a total of 12, but heard rumor that there many have been as many as 15. Although we have yet to find evidence of that. All of the children grew to adulthood and married except 1. Abraham STRODE b. abt.1793 , we are looking for an information that will help find his death and burial. We are fairly certain he died between 1842 and 1850. Son Silas STRODE b.abt 1805 and died sometime after 1860,he never married. He was counted in the 1850 census living with his brother Jeremiah STRODE in Lewis Co. KY. and in 1860 living with his sister Mary (Strode) MCCoy again in Lewis Co. KY. Here is a lists of surnames that married into this STRODE family.. ROE, CHAMBERLAIN,OWENS, HEFFLING,POLLARD,PERRY,HOPPER and McCOY. My 2 new cousins Carol Lovitt and Carol C. in Tenn. would like to hear more if you are connected to this very large STRODE family.... Thanks again and we look forward to hearing from you..
