Susannah Downing, widow of James Downing, married Joseph Wells in 1762. She was 35 years old at the time. I believe it is possible they she and Joseph had one of more children. They came to Mason County around 1789/90. It is possible that your Joseph Wells could be their child. Let me know if you turn up anything about his parents. Thanks
