It also wasn't ever a territory, it was part of Virginia until statehood. You'd need to check VA archives for any births as far back as 1777.

Her sister Katy Gibson was born in 1884, but was 13 at the time she came to live with Sadie last known whereabouts for Katy at this time was in PA, county unknown.

Their tombstones often give both the place and date of birth, as well as the death date, and occasionally cause of death and names of children. Gilmores and Burnses can also be found in nearby cemeteries in Mason and Fleming Counties(Hillsboro Cemetery in Fleming County has quite a few Gilmores), although I'm not sure that they're closely related to the ones in St Patrick's.

Gilmore, dates unknown. In 1889 they signed an affadavit regarding her sister's civil war widow's pension. In 1899 the Maysville Daily Public Ledger mentions "the late M. R. Gilmore" - but no obituary found. In 1911, Mary Ann is listed in her mother's Maysville obituary as "Mrs. Thomas Gilmore of Richmond, VA." Don't know if this is a typo of if she possibly remarried (another Gilmore) after the death of her first husband, Michael. Could this be the Michael Gilmore you are looking for?
