I am trying to track down information about the Josephy Meyers Tanning and Carding Factory that was in Benton, KY circa 1875. It looks as though it was owned by an Edward B. Jones (b: 1808 in NC, m: Susan B. ?) and that his brother James D. Jones (b: 1818 in TN, m: 1841 Mahala Dotson) may have lived and worked there. I would like to be able to get any info I could about the factory, but I don't know where to look. Also, any info about Edward or James would be helpful. James is my husband's ggg grandfather.
