My friends - Today, we will resume our review of Marshall County Vital Statistics birth records in the period 1852-1859. In the prior 13 installments in this series, we had worked our way up to the year 1854, and we will continue with that year in today's post. If you see a name of interest to you, and you would like the full data set for that person(which usually includes the sex of the child, if not obvious, the date of birth and the name of the father and maiden name of the mother), let me know and I will forward that information on to you. I should point out, too, that this portion of the Marshall VS records are really in very poor condition, in both the original and the microfilm formats. I have seen both, and the film is actually a tad better in some cases than the original pages, because there is a little contrast.
