Hi all: I'm searching for information on the Bridges family of Livingston County, KY, with connections to Logan and Caldwell counties in KY (and possibly other southwestern counties), and Williamson County, TN. A John and Britton Bridges bought land in Livingston County, KY in 1804. Britton purchased land in Livingston County in 1806 from a Jacob Scott in Williamson county, TN. Britton was married to a Polly Scott, daughter of John and Agnes Scott. Also, Britton witnesses the transfer of a negro from himself to Britton Bridges of Logan County, KY. Britton dies before 1810, and his widow Polly lives next to John on the census in Livingston County. Her children - Rebecca, Edwin, and William,all born in TN, as was Polly, inherit from the estate of a different John Bridges, who dies abt 1816, and whose estate is administered by Jesse Williams. Jesse Williams has bought land in all the same counties as the Bridges, and may have died in Caldwell County, according to an estate record. There are so many counties here.
