My friends - I am dropping by today to let you know that I have now completed transcribing and entering into a text file the second half of the Marshall County Tavern Keepers Bond Book, which covers the period 1867 - 1882. Tavern Keepers surnames included in this second half of the file include Timmons, Convington, Edwards, Robertson, Phillips, McCawley, Savill(s), Birdwell, Jones, Barry, Barnhart, Cox, Williams, Cochran, Curd, Simmons, Stilley, Duvall, Morris, Travis, Long, Minter, Tyson, Heath, Smith, Kline, Johnson and Waller. Also, I now have the JP land grants for the surname "V" ready. This file includes all of the surnames which begin with "V", and which are: Vaugh(a)n, Vance, Vancleave, Vanclevan, Vanpool, Vangrifft, Veil, Veach, Vincent, Vinson, Via, Violett and Virgin. If you would like a copy of either - or both - files, let me know and I will get it to you. I will send it as a plain text attachment to an e-mail message, unless you specify that you need it as a straight e-mail message(which tends to skew the columnar alignments). In the case of the Tavern Keepers file, ask for Tavern Keepers # 2 file, and in the case of the JP land grants file, just ask for the JP Grants "V" file, since it is complete and will stand alone. Please note that you will receive the complete file in each case - time constraints will not allow me to go into these files and extract the data for a single surname or two. I'll be back later with the solution to the Skills Puzzler, for those of you on the JP List.
