For those of you who do not have access to Louisville's Courier-Journal, today's issue has an article that is guaranteed to excite the heart of every genealogist that has ties to Kentucky! The article states that The Filson Club Historical Society, along with the University of Chicago, will create a web site that will contain several thousands of digitized images of books, records and other documents of historical significance. This project is being undertaken under funding of a $145,596 grant, and is expected to take up to 18 months to complete. And this is just the beginning! The project is titled, "The First American West: The Ohio River Valley, 1750-1820."
