Greetings to all the list members. I am new also. Dyna's post caught my eye as I do not often see the name Duncan, and have been trying to trace my gggrandfather, without much success. His name was William Duncan McLain b. 1847 in or around Marion, KY. He m. Betsy Elizabeth Gardner in 1869. They had 3 children, Donald, Thomas, and Edith. My g grandfather was Thomas. He married Lucetta Stallings (her mom was one of those Sweeneys from Liberty), and they had Raymond Stallings McLain. Ray ended up living most of his life in Texas. He fought in the Poncho Villa Wars, and in WWII marched in on Germany. Would love any leads at all about this familie's participation in events around KY, or any other pertainent info. Christen A.
