Our information I copied from the "Mudd Family" book also indicates that Ann Burtles' father was William Burtles (NFI). My information indicates that before about 1769 Ann married Jonathan "John" Mudd (1725-1773) of Maryland. I am descended from their son William Mudd. William Mudd (c. 1769-6/20/1851) m. Mary ??? Sarah Mudd (c. 1803-after 1850) m. William Russell, III Melvina Russell (c. 1831-after 1896) m. Elias Russell, Jr. William Alonzo "Lon" Russell (1853-1941) m.
