Charles Borgia McCauley died Tuesday at his home in Floyd County. He was a native of St. Francis, Ky., and was pastor of St. George Catholic Church in Louisville. He was ordained a priest in 1951 and served at St. Thomas More, St. James, St. Philip Neri, Holy Cross, Holy Name and St. Lawrence churches in Louisville; SS. Peter & Paul Church in Danville, Ky.; and St. Monica Church in Bardstown, Ky. He also was founding pastor of St. Sylvester Church in Ottenheim, Ky., and St. Michael Church in Jeffersontown, Ky. Survivors: a brother, Thomas Gerald McCauley of Edwardsville, Ind.; and seven sisters, Mary Grace McClure of Jeffersontown, Mary Rita Goss of Lanesville, Patricia A. Watkins of New Albany, Carol Ann Baumert of Lorain, Ohio, Reginia C. Arnett, Mary Emily McCauley and Mary L. Reinig. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, St. George Catholic Church, 1410 Dixie Highway. Burial: St. Mary Cemetery, Lanesville. Visitation: Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, 2-9 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, and the church, 5-9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Memorial gifts: St. Vincent dePaul Society or Mass of the Air.
