    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TBB.2ACI/718.791 Message Board Post: Just read your message and wanted to fill a few things in. John C. moved to Magoffin County with his parents somewhere in the early 1850's. Brother to John C., Mathew, married in Johnson County in 1855, so it was prior to that. They didn't settle on Mash Fork. They settled on Bear Tree Fork of Rockhouse Fork of the Burning Fork of the Licking River. Yes, it's way up a hollow. John C. is buried in a cemetery in the middle of the woods in a little building made of stone constructed for him. It's kind of strange seeing it in the middle of nowhere. His parents, John and Sarah are buried a couple of miles up the hollow in the John D. Blanton Cemetery. Brother Mathew (my ancestor) is in another cemetery up a branch off of Bear Tree. And yes, Bear Tree got its name when Daniel Boone supposedly killed a bear in a tree. There are several tree's with his name or initials in that hollow. Or, at least there used to be. Probably couldn't find any today... Stacey (Jackson) Blanton Magoffin County, Kentucky

    3. Stacey, What Jackson line do you have in Magoffin County? I have some ancestors there and am wondering.
