    3. Scotty; A good place to start would be in the book put together in 1993 for the Risner clan by the Magoffin County Historical Society. I think my dad has one as well, and he would be happy to help you out. His name is Willard Risner and he is a descendant of Jacob and Isaac Risner, descended from Michael Risner who emigrated to the U.S. in the 1740's I believe. Give him a call at (606) 884-7308 and see if he can help you. Thanks, Mildred Risner-Fetters. [email protected] wrote: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I would like to know if anyone has information on names or where they lived in Ky. thanks Sotty ==== KYMAGOFF Mailing List ==== Magoffin County Genealogy & History http://www.rootsweb.com/~kymagoff/ ============================== Jumpstart your genealogy with OneWorldTree. 3. Mildred. It's rather odd this should come up. I am leaving next Tuesday [from SC] to go to Thurmont MD to where our first Risner owned property. The name of the property was Green Springs and his name was Hans Michael Risner. He emigrated from southern Germany in 1732 and was born in 1706. I have gotten to know your dad on my visits to Salyersville. The best place to start researching Risners are the Risner Books from the Magoffin County Historical Society. Both my grandmothers were Risners from Magoffin Co. KY.
