There are so many spellings used over the years it can be pretty confusing. This is my son's research, and I'm just really beginning to dig into it. I live close to Cincinnati and the library is excellent, but not as dedicated to KY counties as to OH counties as you might imagine. My son's line is through his maternal great grandmother Lena Faye Spencer. It is her mother, Linda Ann Hammond, who was born in Magoffin County. [Linda]Ann's parents were Benjamin Hamon and Sarah E. (-?-), then Hezekiah Hamon and Eliza Ann Helton, then Benjamin, Sr and Sarah "Sally" Johnson. There are several wives that I have not discovered family lineages for yet...like Sarah E. who I was asking about this morning and Eliza Ann Helton who married Hezekiah Hamon in 1851. We can't determine which of the Helton families she was born in. I know that she remarried Ben Montgomery after Hezekiah died, but she didn't live that long, Ben Montgomery had remarried by 1880. Perhaps the answers are there in Salyersville. Thanks for all this information, Bob. Constance
