Helen Tackett called me January 15, 2006 to update me on the project. Ted Walter and helpers will be installing a sturdy fence and gate around the cemetery as soon as the weather breaks. They had planned to do it this past week but were forced to postpone the project because of heavy rain in the area. It was decided that the fence needed to be the first priority to protect the cemetery from further damage, as it is in a cattle pasture. The cost for the fence is more than expected: somewhere in the neighborhood of four thousand dollars. As soon as the fence is erected and additional funds are raised, a marker will be placed for Jiles and wife Nancy Chandler.
