JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON VERNICE SHORT FROM XENIA (OH) DAILY GAZETTE 7/8/06 Vernice M. Short, 89, of Fairborn (OH), passed away July 6, 2006 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Short. She was born in Salyersville, Ky. and graduated from Midway College. A resident of Fairborn for over 60 years, she worked at WPAFB for 30 years and was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Vernice is survived by two sisters, one brother, one brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., July 11, 2006 at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Fairborn. Pastor David Engle officiating. Interment Byron Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until time of service.
