    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. It was my grandfather's opinion that Joseph Bailey was the son of John Bailey "as best we can learn". According to my grandfather J.F. Bailey, he was the son of Enoch M. Bailey who married Charlotte Powers on 11/29/1870. Enoch M. Bailey was the son of Wallis Bailey who was an ordained minister of the United Baptist Chruch who died on 1/4/1885. The Rev. Wallis Bailey died at his old home on Rockhouse Creek of Burning Fork in Magoffin County and lies burried by the side of his wife (Mary) on a point near the mouth of Rockhouse Creek, overlooking the valley of Burning Fork. Wallis was the youngest son of Joseph Bailey. Other than my grandfather's opinion that Joseph Bailey may have been the son of John Bailey, I am also at a deadend.
