Here is what I found out about John B. Wireman. John B "Goodeye" Wireman son of Jacob Wireman and Susanna Sizemore. He was born Oct 28, 1858 and died April 24, 1939. married first to Nancy Hale on Dec 10, 1874 at Grassey Gap in Floyd county, Nancy born ct 22, 1860 died April 31, 1885. John B. married second to Nancy Carpenter born April 21, 1856, died Sept 1, 1948. she was the daughter of Stephen Carpenter. their children were= 1- Mollie Wireman McCarty. 2- Basil Wireman 3- Will Mae Wireman 4- Roy Wireman 5- Jane Wireman Oney 6- Abe Wireman 7- Steven Wireman 8- Bessie Wireman Joseph 9- Margaret Wireman Shepherd 10- Goldie Wireman 11- John B. Wireman According to Irene Wireman Stanley, John B Wireman was given the name of Goodeye because he was such a good shot. This information was taken from the Wireman books purchased from the Magoffin county Historical Society. Hope this helps.
