    3. I guess I have been to Old John's grave and had forgotten. He is in the John D. Blanton Cemetery on Beartree, where his daughter Elizabeth Blanton is buried. He has a stone, but no dates on it. His wife has B. 21 Oct. 1810, d. Apr. I will make a point to go back there. Oh, Todd... S PS> John C. Pace has his own cemetery, and has a stone, but no dates. He was in Co. I, Ky 14th Infantry, so there might be some neat stuff on him. -----Original Message----- From: John F. 3. > Sorry it took me a day or two to get to this thread. Been shopping for Christmas before our trip to Texas. Anyway, the only death record I have is for Will Pace's ex-wife, Mary Adams Pace Patrick. I have never found anything on old John. And what I have on Mathie (Matthew Pace, married to Elizabeth Salyer) is from his tombstone: b. 12 May, 1855, d. 8 Dec, 1909. Well, I think it's from his stone. I haven't been able to visit it yet, but Todd Preston knows where it is and I am trying to get him to take me there. I have been to the stones of Mathie's sister, Elizabeth, who married William Emerson Blanton, and the John C. Pace cemetery is close by, but haven't visited it either. John C. was the son of John and Sarah. Todd is on the trail now, so maybe we can find something. I'll get back... Stacey Blanton

    3. Freddie: Would you consider taking a look for a Eliza Ann (Helton) Hamon Montgomery? She married Hezekiah Hamon and then married Benjamin Montgomery after Hezekiah's death in Richmond, VA. She is in the 1870 census in Salyersville, but not in the 1880 and Ben has a new wife named louisa. Also Benjamin Hamon, Sr. and his wife Sarah are said to be buried in the Hamon Cemetery, Edna, Magoffin County. Are they in your books? Are the cemetery books expensive? Did you get them through the Historical society or were they privately published? Constance

They had children: Berthena, Paulina, Stephen, William, Harrison/Hiram, Malissa, Mary, Priscilla, James Clay and Martha Howard. Some of these children married children of Henry Howard and Elizabeth Cottle. I have searched for a long time for info on Big Jim Howard b abt 1821 but can't locate him or Cynthia after 1870 Magoffin Co. Appreciate any help on this family. Thanks, Jan Hi Jan ~ ~ I have quite a bit of info on James Howard (Rev. War Patriot) and some of his siblings. Unfortunately none of the George Howards I have was married to a Sarah. I also checked for any of the other names you listed - and I have none of them. Sorry I can't be of more help. Laurie
