    3. Does anyone get the Big Sandy News. There was an accident on Saturday involving my sister and another vehicle where both occupants were killed. I didn't know about the accident until this morning because my family thinks I can't handle anything since the loss of my Grandson. I would like to see a copy of the article of someone would happen to have this. My sister received a broken bone, lots of bruises and her son got a broken collar bone and is seeing a surgeon in Lexington today. My sister is devasted over the two teenagers losing their lives so she needs your prayer. The other car was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control and crossed the median into the other lane and hit my sister head on. Please if someone has a copy of this in the newspaper would you send it to me. 3. Girls, I just found this in my Cemetery books: In the Tommy Cooper Cemetery, along with T.M. Cooper and Louisa Pace Cooper, I found Mary Yates, b. 13 Jan 1862 d. 2 Jun 1916. Her husband is not buried with her, which means he probably remarried and is buried with number 2 somewhere. Also in the cemetery, are a few of Louisa and T.M. children. When I copy down the dates, I'll pass them on... 1. Re: Progress on the Jiles (Giles) Green Cemetery Project,
    2. Frankie Perry
    3. I failed to pinpoint the location of the cemetery in my recent note. The cemetery being restored is located in Johnson County, Kentucky, on Rt. 3387, near Honey Lane. Right beside the road is the James Green Cemetery, also known as the Marcus Green Cemetery. The Jiles Green Cemetery is on the hill on the opposite side of Rt. 3387; the hill is bounded by Rt. 3387 and Honey Lane. This is in the Rockhouse area, nead Chandlerville. James and Marcus Green were sons of Jiles Green, and Jiles' second wife Margaret Ghent Yates Green is buried in the cemetery that is known by their name. For more details, search the list archives for messages sent in 2005.

    1. Progress on the Jiles (Giles) Green Cemetery Project,
    2. Frankie Perry
    3. Helen Tackett called me January 15, 2006 to update me on the project. Ted Walter and helpers will be installing a sturdy fence and gate around the cemetery as soon as the weather breaks. They had planned to do it this past week but were forced to postpone the project because of heavy rain in the area. It was decided that the fence needed to be the first priority to protect the cemetery from further damage, as it is in a cattle pasture. The cost for the fence is more than expected: somewhere in the neighborhood of four thousand dollars. As soon as the fence is erected and additional funds are raised, a marker will be placed for Jiles and wife Nancy Chandler. If you have questions about the project or wish to make a contribution, please contact either Helen Tackett or Ted Walter.
