    3. Hi all ~ ~ Just wanted to re-introduce myself. I have only been doing genealogy for 10 years, but have been very successful with help from friends like you and of course the Magoffin County Historical Society. I have found 3 Revolutionary War ancestors - 2 of which have been verified by the DAR. I am and have been searching for proof that Lewis Green Jr's daughter Elizabeth who m James Howard is actually Lewis's daughter. Unfortunately at that time in our history and censuses - no daughters were named until after Elizabeth and James were married. All of MCHS says that Elizabeth is the d/o Lewis. However, until I find something absolutely on paper --- like a marriage bond -- as far as the DAR is concerned, this Elizabeth is not Lewis's daughter. If anyone can help me, I sure would appreciate it. The full list of surnames I am researching is: Allen, Cameron, Howard, Green, Salyer Nice to be back on the list. Many of you may remember me as [email protected] Laurie Royal Oak, MI _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! We participated in Founders' Day last year in Salyersville that celebrated the decendants of both John ( our line ) and James Hamman, originally of Bloomington, a small town on the border of Morgan and Magoffin Counties. There is a book being published by the Magoffin County Historical Society , including pictures, re this family. I believe it is out either later this year or next year. Please email me and I will put you in contact with Doris Rose. B.Ann
