Hamilton Hospice Unit on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at 8:40 PM. She was born in Salyersville, Kentucky on January 21, 1934 the daughter of Kellie and Esther (Combs) Howard. A homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and also fishing and NASCAR racing. On April 16, 1952 in Liberty, Indiana she married Cecil Sharp, and he preceded her in death in 1994. She is survived by two sons, Roy Sharp and his wife Stephanie of Fairfield and Ray Sharp and his wife Sheila of Hamilton; four daughters, Sherry Bollmer and her husband John of West Chester, Sheila Shelton and her husband Scott of Temple, Georgia, Kaye Ensminger of Mims, Florida, and Faye Sharp of Mims, Florida; nineteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Douglas Howard and his wife Sandy of Michigan and Larry Howard and his wife Ilona of Morgan Township. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Jerry Sharp; and a sister, Gay B! arnard. A memorial service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born in Gunlock, Ky., she had lived in New London area for the last 42 years. Mrs. Oney was employed as a seamstress at Kent’s Sporting Goods and had worked for C.E. Ward Co. of New London until retiring. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, baseball and spending time with her family. Wiley married a Deliah /Deliah Nickell In the 1867 Roll of Honor (Civil War Deaths), there is a Wiley Cook who died on the same day as the Willis Cook listed above-April 17, 1864 On the Roll of Honor, Wiley Cook was ifirst buried at Paducah, KY where a battle was fought on March 25, 1864. Died April 17, 1864. He was listed as being a part of 1st Kentucky artillery, heavy, Company B. He is listed as being buried at Mound City National Cemetery in the same section (D) as the Willis Cook listed aboveThe grave for Wiley is 3727. Can't find anything about this military unit. The Ntl Archives wer not helpful.
