The RSL is not the mail lists. It was their app that let you just search names. Genforum was shut down a long time ago. I didn’t know they had something else by that name. I didn’t see anything about the mail lists. The only way to save those would be for people to start using them again. Naomi, Jemima and Susanna and lived in Magoffin from about 1850 to the early 1900s. Looking for descendants of State or Staton Nichols of Highland County OH. Newly discovered records have uncovered a relationship between the Nichols of Magoffin County and the Nichols of Hawkins/Hancock Counties in Tennessee. Recent DNA testing has confirmed a common ancestor in the last 150 to 200 years between the descendants of Joseph Nichols in Magoffin County KY and State Nichols in Highland County OH. While the descendants of Reuben Nichols from Greenup County match both lines with a common ancestor at 300 years. A member of this line, my family, is doing upgraded testing. The family needs a male descendant of Parish Nichols born about 1810 in Hawkins County TN who may be interested in pursuing DNA testing via FamilyTreeDNA. The records alone support the relationship but DNA testing would completely cement the records. Mary is two years old in the Census. The question is who is Mary's mother and who fathered her? Mary grew up and married Samuel Lovely. Mary has been a mystery to me for a while now.
