Pat Oliver was one of the original founders of KyGenWeb along with a few select others, Jeff Murphy & Nancy Trice. He was also a member of the kyvitals program. Ken & Peggy Gilkey CC: Crittenden & Livingston ACC: Caldwell & Lyon ******************************** The Huntsville Times Huntsville, Alabama August 17, 2009 Willis Patrick "Pat" Oliver, 66, of Madison, Alabama, formerly of Lyon County, Ky., died Saturday at Huntsville Hospital. He was born February 4, 1943, second of the four children of Ura Boyd and Trela May McCracken Oliver of Lyon County. Pat was a member of the 1961 graduating class of Lyon County High School and a graduate of Murray State University and the University of Kentucky with degrees in physics and mathematics and of the University of Alabama at Huntsville with a degree in administrative science. In 1972, he joined the U.S. Army Missile Intelligence Agency as a physicist, and retired from the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency's Missile and Space Intelligence Center as Senior Intelligence Officer/Physicist in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Trevan Ann Butler Oliver, son, Nathan Patrick Oliver of Tuscaloosa; stepson, Graham Matthew Burchfield of Portland, Ore.; mother , Trela Oliver of Lyon County, sister, Phyllis Lynn Nicholson of Nashville; brother, Herschel Boyd Oliver of Natchitoches, La.; and a sister, Janice Elaine Thompson of Oklahoma City, Okla. Memorial donations may be made to Kosair Chirldren's Hospital of Louisville, Ky., c/o Kosair Charities, P.O. Box 37370, Louisville, KY, or the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Berryhill Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
