In addition to what Emma Lou has provided, Cordelia Ladd was born Cordelia McKinney (April 1850 Trigg Co.-12 August 1927 Lyon County, buried in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery). She was a daughter of Henry and Pernecia (Prince) McKinney and was also known as "Babe" McKinney and "Babe" Dunning. Another of her sons was Lee Ladd (1869-1942) of Lyon Co. who married Lou Ella Groves 30 Nov. 1892. Lou Ella Groves had a older brother James Franklin Groves who married Laura B. Oliver. The Herman Groves who married Viola Parent was one of their children. Just to complicate things, Laura B. Oliver was a sister of my grandfather Levi Oliver and James Franklin was a brother of my paternal grandmother, Sarah Ann (Groves) Oliver, sister of Lou Ella. (I was 40 years old before I got all this straightened out.) Ellen Moneymaker (1878-??) was a daughter of James T. and Sarah Elizabeth (Oliver) Moneymaker AKA "Aunt Sally Moneymaker".
