Davis and Gertrude Brown. He was raised in Logan county. Roy was listed MIA after the sinking of minesweeper Magpie off the coast of Korea Oct 1, 1950. His maternal grandparents were Noble A. and Mary L. Brown. He was married to Willie Elizabeth Gass, daughter of Chester Gass and Nannie Bell. Willie was also in the USN.
