He is NOT kin to Robert Boyd (1817-1893) who married Rebecca Jane Campbell of the Olmstead community as he is my husband's great-grandfather and only had 2 sons, one married with only an adopted daughter and one died a bachelor. Robert came here from Nashville, TN, area and if they are kin, it goes another generation back but I've never known of any of his other kin that came here. There was another Boyd family in the same area as Boyd's Mill was on Whippoorwill Creek at Lickskillet, a community near Olmstead. Judy Lyne, President, Lo. Co. Gen. Soc.
