My 3rd great grandparents are George Washington McIntosh that went mainly by Washington McIntosh He was born 3 July 1813 in Illinois. He died 26 Mar 1875 in Pulaski Co., IL. He married Elizabeth Hoffner. I am still researching who his parents are but he must descend from the McIntoshs that were in Culpeper Co., Va .... moved to Caswell Co., NC.. on to Robertson Co., Tn and Logan Co., Ky on to southern Illinois. I am interested if finding who this William McIntoshs parents were in the following records. I believe he could be my Washington McIntosh's father. In 1807 William and Benjamin McIntosh were in Knox County, Indiana Territory. 5 April 1809 William Parks vs Henry Johnson ordered that deft have deposition of john Kerr in Ohio Co., Ky. and William McIntosh in Randolph county in Indiana. On 14 Nov 1811 a William Mantesh (McIntosh) married Baphala Smith in Randolph Territory which became a county of Illinois in 1812. My Washington McIntosh was then born 3 July 1813 in illinouis. William settled at Wetaug , illinois in 1816 near where Washington lived in later years. Benjamin McIntosh died in Johnson Co., IL. in 1815.
