He was born about 1874. That's all I know for sure. I have visited the Auburn Cemetery, the Hall Cemetery north of Auburn on Hwy 105(?), and the Chandler's Chapel Cemetery. I found many Halls, Mabens, and Britts. I believe that my grandfather was "bound" to Cyrus Maben of Chandler's Chapel. He ran away to Texas/Mexico as a young boy, family lore says by the age of 10.
