He was born Barton (?) Shuler 15 Oct 1882 in Bowling Green and died 6 April 1952 in Alliance, NE. We don't have his parents, or even if he was really born in Bowling Green proper. Family lore says he left home at 16 over an argument with his dad, a music teacher, for a violin. His dad refused to purchase it for him. Bert left Kentucky and joined the railroad. He eventually married Dora Weidner in Cheyenne, Wy in 1909. Anyone having information on his parents would be appreciated.
