His wife, Eleanor, 3 Dec 1746-13 Sept 1818, is buried in the Whitsett-Breathitt cemetery just north of Russellville, KY. William Breathitt married Elizabeth Whitsett and they had several children, one of which was Governor John Breathitt, also buried in this cemetery.
