I really appreciate your help and any information you might have or find. I had found something reported by Hilland Phillips that listed Jacob(Jack/Jake)Phillips alt 1860 born in Pike Co. KY married to Nancy Jane Scott Phillips as the father of Grover Cleveland Phillips b 1885 d8-9-1945. My father has told me that my papaw thought our line came out of NC. Papaw, Med Phillips, was related to RC Phillips, and his sister was Nancy Michaels Phillips who married Charles and lived in Huntington, WV. Med Phillips b 2-2-1911 had some cousins named Hiram, Johhny, and Ceicil. Dad has also said that we have Scotts, McCoys, and Blankenships in our line too. I will be traveling to Mingo Co. this week and plan to visit the Strygtown family graves and those burried at the McCoy Cemetery which is where Grover Cleveland is burried. As I said in my previous post, I am new to all of this so thank you for being patient with me as I'm still learning.
