George Caldwell's brothers, Andrew, David and Daniel settled in Russellville, Logan County, Kentucky. Andrew and David were successful in several business operations including a tan yard. The 1817 Saddle Factory Museum built by Andrew and David is perhaps the oldest standing manufacturing facility in the state of Kentucky. Some of George's sons were indentured at the saddle factory to learn the trade. Andrew and David paid for the medical education of their younger brother, Daniel. The museum will be open, free of charge, on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 1am to 4 pm. Logan County will be celebrating "Hometown History Day" which will feature Gov. John Breathitt, the tenth governor of Ky. (1832-1834). A lot of activities are planned for this date.
