I hope someone out there can help me. I'm trying to track down a John Cox that appears in the 1870 census for Clay, Logan, KY. He shows up in a household with the following people, though I'm not precisely sure how they are related. John F. Cox born about 1848 is the head of house (it isn't clear what state he was born in) Mary C. Cox born about 1835 is the oldest female (b. about 1835 in TN) Lydia E. Cox born about 1858 Mary F. Cox born about 1860 John F. or L. Cox born about 1866 If you could please help me tie in this family, I'd be thankful. I'm trying to eliminate or include the younger John as the father of my great grandfather ... Charles Andrew Cox was born in TN, but his father John L. Cox was born in KY. The John L. Cox that I am looking for died between 1890 and 1896 in Stewart County, TN. No other information has been found for him aside from a marriage date of Dec 1884. Thanks again.
