Some onwers had two cemeteries. on their land one for their family and one for their slaves. But I can not change what my history was and I sure hope all people have change, at least in my family we are of many races and it does not matter. Check with the Scott County Genealogical Society they have done a large search of cemeteries in Scott County. They also may be able to help you with a contack on how to find the cemeteries in the county you are looking at. I would be intrested in learning where the slaves of my family are and when they were solded at the death of my 5th grandparents. I do have a list from the the church of who were their slaves and the bill of sale of two of them but not who may had brought them. I do know that the slaves did start their own church alittle ti! me later in the area. I went to the area where they lived but there are no stones in the cenetary and the land is just a pasture now. By the way my Cook family are very well known Cook Co. Ill is named for one son and the other two sons were also are known in history in Missouri where I was born. Let me know how it goes. Carolyn
