JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON JOHN W. DAVIS FROM XENIA (OH) DAILY GAZETTE 8/15/06 John W. Davis, 76, of Fairborn (OH), passed away August 13, 2006 in the Greenewood Manor, Xenia, where he had resided for many years. He was born Sept. 20, 1929 in Russellville, KY, the son of the late Lonnie and Clemmie (Whitaker) Davis. John was employed as a bindery technician at Wright-Patterson AFB. Those left to cherish his memory include a brother, Arthur Davis, and wife Betty of Kettering (OH); a nephew, Scottie Davis of Kettering; and a great-nephew, Matthew Davis of Kettering. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and residents of Greenewood Manor for the care and love shown to John over the years. The family will receive friends on August 16, 2006 from 6-8pm in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, where funeral services will be held on August 17, 2006 at 11 a.m., Pastor Bobby Jenkins and Pastor Tim Hamilton, officiating.
