Have you checked the Logan Co. birth records for him? Most of the KY counties kept birth and death records between 1852 and 1858. I use them often when researching for my clients. The Allen County Library, in Ft. Wayne, IN (second largest genealogy library in the world) has these records available on microfilm for all of the KY counties. These records typically give names of both parents; normally including the maiden name of the mother, so they can be extremely helpful. Rex Bertram 132 S.
