Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QBB.2ACI/2654.1 Message Board Post: Leslie, I also research this family but I have some slightly different information. I descend from Mary Dickenson and her second husband Jesse Williams. I have Mary Dickinson married to the Mr. Bridges as you do (didn't know his name was Edwin--thanks for that). Then she married Jesse Williams who was born 11 Feb 1744/45 and died 22 Apr 1818. They had a son named Jesse Williams who has the birth and death dates you mentioned (13 May 1772-10 Nov 1836. If I am correct on this, Edwin Bridges would have had to have died before 1772 when Mary's first Williams son was born. I've collected a little on this family so far but would love to know about the time Mary Dickenson Bridges Williams spent in Robertson County, TN. Do you know if she was born there? Mary and Jesse Williams had a daughter Mary who married first John Denton (one of the Denton children was my g-g-g grandfather, Jesse Denton who married Nancy Ann Gunn. I'd love to discuss this in more detail with you. Linda

I have certain inquiries that I want to make and I will answer any question that I can. The inquiries that I want to make right now cluster on what life was like in the latter part of the 18th Century in Pennyroyal. What did country folk do? What associations did they join? When they went to the nearby towns what were their activities? Where were the schools and how did they operate? That period was an era of religious revivalism. What did that mean to the persons in the area being revived or that had been revived? What did they have to buy in town? What was the division of labor in the ordinary farm family?. etc etc. JiMcG JiMcG.
