Walter Anderson Routon, b. 21 Nov 1859, Lincoln Co KY, d. 20 Mar 1939, Sugarcreek, Choctaw Co, OK (my g grandfather), m. 18 Dec 1888 in Paris, Lamar Co, TX, Mary Ann Pope, b. 18 Oct 1866, d. 19 May 1948, Choctaw Co, OK. There may have been an additional child, Joseph T., who died in 1912. Several of these children listed above moved to Indian Territory, which is now Choctaw Co, OK; however, it is thought some returned to KY. There is also listed in Lincoln Co KY a Benjamin Franklin Routon b. 4 Sept 1841, Lincoln Co, KY, son of James Routon and Sarah Anderson. Am thinking perhaps James was a brother to my Benjamin and Sarah could have been a sister to my Eliza Anderson. My Benjamin and family listed on 1860, Stanford, Lincoln Co, KY census; in 1850 they are listed in Russell Co, KY, so apparently moved back to Lincoln Co. Nancy Spires, 16 Jan 1833 I have received unsubstantiated info that the Routon family all lived in Buckingham Co VA until abt 1813, when they came to KY.
