Hi, I am searching for information on Ellistons. I am looking for info on WILLIAM WHITFIELD ELLISTON / ELLISON and ELMIRA / ALMIRA STURGUS, (? spelling) and their children.....ALBERT, WILLIAM, ELIZA, WALTER, LEE, ADELINE, MARGARET, JAMES, and ROBERT. Also VAUGHNS / VONNS, POWERS, WELLS. This is our theory at this time. JAMES POWERS m LUCINDA WELLS. They had a daughter, REBECCA. The Powers/ Wells connection has not been proven at this time. REBECCA married a VAUGHN / VONN, his first name not known. REBECCA POWERS and ? VAUGHN had two daughters (may be more children), MILLY / MOLLIE AGNES VAUGHN, b 1867 and her sister, LUCINDA VAUGHN, b 1866. They are found in the 1880 Lincoln Co. census wih their grandmother LUCINDA WELLS POWERS. She also has a son, BENNETT (21) with her at this time. MILLY / MOLLIE and her sister LUCINDA VAUGHN both married Ellistons in 1880, Lincoln Co.. Any help on thes families, is appreciated and certainly will make me have a good day.
