In the marriage bond of John Dyhouse to marry Holland Adams, Betsey Adams is listed as the mother (giving consent for her daughter, Holland) and Francis Deshon is listed as surety November 18, 1835. (Indicating to me that the husband of Betsey Adams died previous to 1835. In 1844: Consent of Francis Deshon, stating that America Adams is an orphan under the age of 21 years, and that he has acted as her guardian. January 8, 1844.
