Click on "Send Query" and it should take less than a minute to compile the search results. The search results give the name and county where the cemetery is located. When you click on a specific cemetery, the "USGS 7.5' x 7.5' Map" line shows you the city supposed to be closest to the latitude and longitude coordinates. Hope this helps! Lois Hollon

Just wondering about a few things regarding migration patterns into the Lincoln Co. area. Orange County, NC/ Orange County, IN - Any relationship? ---------------------------------------------- My curiosity has to do with migration of the DESCHAMPS/DISHION/DISHON/DESHON family from the coastal area of North Carolina. They entered Lincoln County about 1832, but parts of the family are found in: Chowan County, NC Orange County, NC Pulaski County, VA Pulaski County, KY Lincoln County, KY Orange County, IN ---------------------------------------------- Anyboby have information regarding families that may have come into Lincoln Co. from Pulaski Co, VA or Orange Co., NC? And his trips. Barnes and Nobles has the "Atlas of Westward Expansion" by Alan Wexler, a very interesting book of maps and facts. 20 dollars. Great for getting the lay of the land and the changing borders as the Country grew. I have a map of the road that I will send you if you would send me a snail address, it is not a sharp copy and I have not idea where it came from. It shows the road from Watkins Ferry to Louisville and all points inbetween. It is an interesting little map. A little blurry but can be read. Lela Hite Newell
Since Lincoln County was settled by people coming through on the Wilderness Road, I thought this would be a good place to ask this question. Does anyone know of a source for a book or other document that would have any details on the mapping out of the Wilderness Road? What I am interested in are the names of the "30 men" who went with Daniel Boone in 1775 when this road was first surveyed and layed out. Doug Gordon Rochester Hills, MI
