    2. Hi Everyone, I am looking for my family also. They are: William Whitfield Ellisotn/Ellison, b. abt 1818, married Almira/Elmira Sturgus, 1841, in Lincoln Co., Ky. The name is Elliston, but is often found without the "T". Their children: Eliza b. abt. 1843 Lee b. abt 1845 Adeline b. abt. 1847 Margaret b. abt. 1850 William F. b. abt. 1854, Lincoln Co. Robert b. abt. 1864 Walter b. abt. 1867 According to the Census, Albert was born in 1863, but on his marriage certificate, he says he is 21, which would make his birth year 1859. It appears that he may have given the wrong age on the marriage records. I believe part of these children moved to Bell Co. 1. Buford, Morris, and Pierce
    2. Debra Gann
    3. Hi, I am looking for nay information about a Thomas Buford Sr. who married an Elizabeth Pierce in May 1797 in Lincoln County, Ky. Thomas Buford was Born March 11, 1776 in Bedford County, Va and moved to Kentucky in Lincoln County. He passed away on Dec. 31, 1814 along with his Father Henry Buford Sr. on Dec. 31, 1814. Any information about Elizabeth Pierce or Thomas and Henry Buford would be much appreciated. I believe Henry and Elizabeth's Father(Pierce) had much to do with starting up Horse racing somehow in this state (or it may just be the breeding of horses). Information that I have obtained says that the Buford's later bought a farm in MIssouri to add to their other already existing Horse farms in Kentucky. I hear the Farm is still in Missouri today by the name of Buford's Farm. Thanks for any information regarding Pierce or Buford of Lincoln County. Debra >From zadok@junct.com

    3. Happy Holidays List, I am looking for information about my ggg-grandmother's family. Her name was Phoebe Ann Sweeney b. about 1869 in Lincoln County, KY. She married Marion Robert Reynolds of Rockcastle County and I think she died before 1900. Her parents were Samuel Sweeney and Clara Cummins. I have widely varying birthyears for these two ranging from 1834-1845. I think the most reasonable year is in 1840. Samuel and Clara's other children are Mary, Marsha, William, Miama, and my Phoebe. If anyone has any information about any of these individuals, please email me at mjsevers@colby.edu Thanks in advance, Matt

    1. QUIGLEY / PATTERSON
    2. Hi all and Happy Holidays! I am trying again to find some new info..... Looking for: John Maywood QUIGLEY b. 1775 VA Married Mary PATTERSON b.1777 VA. They were married in Berkeley Co. in 1796 by a minister John Boyd. Unsure (and looking for) where they came from or who parents and siblings were. There were some Quigleys who moved from VA to KY. John and Mary had their first two children (John b. 1800 and William b. 1801) somewhere in KY. Then they had 4 more in VA/WVA. (Andrew b. 1803, Jane b.1803, Hannah b. 1805, Anna Lisa b.1807) The family ended up in Marshall Co. WVA. I have a lot of info from there on. 1. Anyone know anything about John and Mary's parents and/or siblings? 2. Can anyone find them on a census in KY? They were there only a short time but maybe other Quigleys stayed in KY? I'll take info on any Quigley since it is not a common name at this time. 3. Can anyone find them in land records or other books and records on VA??? I "assume" they started out in the eastern part near Berkeley Co. 4. If anyone has any PATTERSON info from Berkeley Co. I would be happy to see it. This is my brick wall !!!!!! I am unable to travel to WVA or VA to do research. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them!!!! I am willing to share any info I have that may be useful to others. You may email me or post to the list if it may help others. Thank you all and have a great holiday season!!!!!!
