    1. LINCOLN CO Records
    2. I would like to hear from people who have ordered records from the court clerk in Lincoln Co KY. What sort of luck have you had getting them? How long have you had to wait? I sent in a request for a copy of a marriage bond in the spring of 1998. I did not get a reply until the end of October, and it merely said the clerk's office did not provide such copies. I was told to resend my request and make my check out to an individual who does the searches, not to the court clerk. I mailed a new check on November 2. I waited....and waited. Nothing. This week I phoned the clerk's office and was given the researcher's home number. I called her. She searched through all the unanswered mail she has on hand starting with last October, and she could not find my envelope. I sent her another check for $15 for the marriage bond. Is this typical? I do genealogy research for a living, and there are many other records I need from Lincoln Co. Is there another way to get these records? Historical society - is there one? 1. Searching for will
    2. I am looking for the will for Patsey McCormack. Patsey was the wife of Daniel McCormack Jr. She is listed in the 1860 Lincoln County Census next door to her grandson William Craig McCormack and family. Patsey was 89 years old in this census. She is not listed in the 1870 Census so she most likely died between 1860 and 1870. Patsey is buried in the Cemetery at the McCormack Church, near Hustonville in Lincoln County. Her tombstone dates are not legible. If anyone has an abstract will book for these times I would really appreciate any help. Thanks very much. Susan Hudgens

I think this must be the first mail that I have had about Lincoln County. I am researching the Antle name. My GGgrandfather, John Antle and GGgrandmother, Elizabeth (Betsy) Buchanan were there for a while. I'm not sure that they really moved, but suspect that the counties changed and they were caught up in it. If there is anyone who can help me with any information, especially the parents of Betsy, I sure would appreciate it. I am really at a dead end with her. She was born ca 1789 in Cumberland Co., PA and moved to KY at about age 7. She and John Antle married in Cumberland County, KY in 1810.
